I honestly feel like I haven't aged in the past 10 years. I still feel like I'm in my early 20's. Yet for some reason I always feel so much older when my little sister has her birthday. Today happens to be her birthday and I'm definitely feeling older. As I see her age creep closer to 30, it reminds me that I'm not in my 20's anymore. Oh to be young forever!
In honor of my sister's birthday, I made her a card using another one of Julee's fabulous sketches.
It will obviously get to her a little late, but hopefully she'll forgive me.
The large cupcake stamp came from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. I inked up the cupcake using my Basic Black marker. In doing so, I was able to leave the candle and the sprinkles off the cupcake. I stamped it on Whisper White cardstock and then colored it with Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip markers.
The "Happy Birthday" stamp in the middle of the scalloped circle came from the Wow Flowers stamp set. I inked it up with my Chocolate Chip marker omitting the image in the center. Instead of a stamped flower in the middle, I wanted to use one of my Fushion Flowers.
I had fun adding lots of layers, scallops (all paper pierced of course!), polka dots, and flowers.
I finished the inside of the card with some striped designer series paper and some Regal Rose cardstock cut with the Top Note die.
I hope you have a fabulous birthday Felicia! Thanks for stopping by. ~Dannie
