Do you ever get an idea stuck in your head that you just can't let go of? That happened to me. At the end of January, Pam Varnell was the featured stamper of the week on SplitCoast. I looked at her gallery and this card just stuck with me. Every time I needed some inspiration for a card I would go back to that card of Pam's. I couldn't never get it to work with the stamp set I was using...until last night.
The Pun Fun stamp set is perfect for Pam's layout. I think this skunk is so cute. I stamped him in Black Stazon and then watercolored him with Going Gray ink. I added a little pink to his cheek and the inside of his ears. Instead of coloring the flower he's holding, I decided to cover the flower with one of my Felt Fusion Flowers. I'm trying to be better about not hoarding the flowers.
Pam used textured cardstock for her card and I used regular cardstock. The top of my card looked a little plain and needed something. I added some texture by wheeling across the top of the card with my Rough Texture wheel in So Saffron ink. I pierced holes in the center of each scallop and around the Rose Red layer that the skunk is layered on.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was great. I got my taxes done. Yeah!!! I also got a bunch of stuff done around the house. It felt so good. Have a wonderful Monday and I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by. ~Dannie
