Tonight I have my monthly meeting for all of my downline. We rotate through the group and take turns providing the stamping projects and tonight is my turn. Wanna see what we're going to make?
A card organizer! Then again, you probably already knew that from the title of this post. This thing is huge and will hold lots of cards. It's 7 1/2" wide, 5 1 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" deep. You could make one, fill it with cards and envelopes, and give it as a gift. Change the cardstock colors and designer series paper and this would work for any occasion. Thank you cards for a baby shower or a teacher, a set of "we've moved" cards for a new neighbor, or a set of birthday cards for a friend.
The sides of the box are accordion folded so you could make dividers for the box. The white circles in the picture are velcro dots to hold the lid closed.
I got the idea for this box from a swap I was in at leadership. Cathy Parlitsis swapped one of these with me and gave me a set of directions. You know me, I had to tweak it a little bit. I changed a couple of the measurements and I assembled my box differently. Let's just say I have a video tutorial coming!
UPDATE: The video tutorial is done! Click here to watch it.
When? I need to get through this weekend first. I have several more things to get ready for tonight (including my swap cards!) and I need to finish preparing for my class on Saturday. Yes, I'll do a video tutorial for the box from my class too. I have lots of fun stuff coming so be sure to check back. You don't want to miss it!
