Hi - LOVE your blog!!! I've gotten so many great ideas! Here's a recipe that my family loves:
Orange-Honey Crockpot Chicken
1 whole chicken
1 lemon
1/2 c. OJ
1/2 c. honey
Pierce lemon several times and place in chicken cavity - place in crockpot. Mix OJ and honey together (can increase amounts if you'd like).
Pour over chicken - cook 5-6 hours on low. Time will vary depending on your crockpot.
Chicken will be falling off the bone - very tender! Great over rice or egg noodles.
Enjoy - thanks for the chance at the blog candy!!

Hey Dannie -
I LOVE your blog - thanks so much for giving us the chance to win such awesome goodies. Whenever I am in a pinch for dinner my favorite recipe is to pick up the phone and call the local pizza delivery. Ha! Seriously, here's a great recipe that my family enjoys on Sunday afternoons:
Ingredients:
2 small packages of dried beef (what you use to make chip beef gravy - I find it in the grocery store near the bacon and sausage)
1 package of bacon
1 package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
Spray the bottom of a 9x12 baking dish with non stick spray and line the bottom with a layer of dried beef. Wrap each individual chicken breast in bacon (uncooked, straight from the pack) and lay in the dish side by side until dish is full. In a mixing bowl, stir together soup and sour cream until blended. Spoon mixture out onto top of the chicken and spread evenly until dish covered. Bake uncovered on 275 for 3 hours. After cooking so long at a low temperature the chicken is super tender. Some people find this dish a little rich - but it is a favorite at my house. I like it because I can get it ready ahead of time and then let it cook all afternoon while I stamp!! :)

In a large bowl, combine the mix and the mayonnaise. Add apples, pecans and cranberries. Top mixture with shredded cheese. Serve immediately or chill until needed.

DRESSING: 1/3 cup salad oil 3-1/2 Tbsp vinegar 4 Tbsp sugar 2 tsp salt & pepper to taste Toss all ingredients together with dressing and serve immediately.

2 pkgs (3 oz each) orange jell-o 1 cup boiling water 1 pint orange sherbet 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple 1 cup mini marshmallows 1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges 1 pint whip cream (cool whip works OK too)
Dissolve jell-o in boiling water. When just cool, add sherbet Put in refrig until partially set...(KEEP WATCH so it doesn't set too much). Meanwhile, drain pineapple and oranges and whip the cream. Add these and the marshmallows to the partially congealed jell-o and sherbet, the FOLD in the whip cream.

I have a very tasty SIMPLE recipe for you:
POPPY SEED CHICKEN
1 pound of chicken breast cooked - my method of choice is microwaved.
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 8oz container of sour cream
1 cube of margarine
1 tube of ritz or like crackers
1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
Crush crackers; add poppy seeds and melt the butter and pour over the crackers and mix.
Take half of the mixture above and line the bottom of a square pyrex glass pan.
Cut the cooked chicken into bite size pieces.
Mix chicken; soup; sour cream and layer mixture on top of the cracker mixture in the pyrex. Take the remaining cracker mixture and sprinkle on the top of the chicken mixture for a crust.
Cook in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes or until bubbly. Serve and enjoy! This is one of those recipes you can double or triple and take to church functions etc. One more thing it gets better and better every time you warm up and serve leftovers. ENJOY!!
PS thanks for the chance at the blog candy you have a great site!

Well, it's not really a recipe more just a dinner idea. I was never really one for buttered noodles, I always thought they were too bland. I tried everything on them celery salt, salt & pep, finally my mom put parm cheese on them, then she added sauteed mushrooms and green peppers with either sausage or chicken. It's now my favorite dinner, and I must say it's fast and easy. Thanks for the chance to win. ~Julie

ok, I love this chicken and probably make it way too often.
you need:
chicken breasts/thighs or just cut up chunks of chicken
dijon mustard
bread crumbs
butter (melted)
Roll chicken in dijon mustard, then roll in bread crumbs and place on cookie sheet. then pour melted butter over and put in oven for 40-50 mins. turn over half way through

Hamburger Potato Casserole
*one pound hamburger (browned, drained)
*4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
*one can Cream of Mushroom soup
*1/4 cup skim milk

Layer first three ingredients in greased 8x8 pan. Pour milk over top and down sides to "moisten" the layers. Add salt and pepper on top as desired. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes (oven temps/times will vary) or until potatoes are tender. Enjoy!
This is great even as leftovers. Serve with buttered bread and small side salad for a complete meal.
