I just finished making some Christmas gifts. I made nugget boxes...LOTS of nugget boxes!
Aren't these cute? I love the way they turned out. I found my nugget tins here. They have the best prices and a huge assortment of tins. I bought a few of their other tins, but I won't have time to play with them until after the holidays.
Each nugget (120 nuggets to be exact!) is wrapped in a 1" x 3" piece of Dashing DSP. Now before you go slicing up your DSP into little pieces, let me give you a tip. First cut your DSP into a 3" x 12" strip--each strip will cover twelve nuggets. Then add a piece of sticky strip down the entire 12" length. THEN cut your paper into twelve 1" x 3" pieces. That way you're putting sticky strip on all twelve pieces at once rather than on each piece individually. This little tip saved me a lot of time.
Here are some close-up pictures of the tins.
The red strip on the belly band is 1" x 10".
The DSP on the belly band is 3/4" x 10".
Each tin holds twelve nuggets.
This one I messed up on and didn't realize it until I was done. The stripes on the belly band go the opposite direction from the stripes on the nuggets. Yes, I took off the belly band and turned it around to see if it would make a difference and it doesn't.
I'm off to the post office first thing this morning to mail all ten of these. Thank you Elaine, Jaime, Jessica, Kathleen, Leah, Mary, Mona, Jennifer, Donna, and Denell for being part of my stamping team!
Stamps: Perfect Presentations
Paper: White, Real Red, Dashing DSP
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: White Grosgrain, Silver Eyelets, Silver Cord, Large and Small Tag Punch, Dimensionals (to hold the tag in place), Sticky Strip, Tins, and lots of nuggets!

Thanks for the tip about puting the adhésive all the way before cutting strips! It most be much easier this way! :)

I don't think you made a mistake on the last tin; the stripes going the opposite direction make for a nice bit of contrast. Thanks for sharing another great idea!

Love them! Color me confused though.. I can't figure out why it wouldn't work to turn the band around!! lol It will be my riddle to figure out.. I always knew my brain didn't work the way it is supposed to! lol I do like the contrast though!

These are great! I have been looking for a blog to give me the info where I could get the tins. Thanks so much. Let me know if you have any graduation party ideas. I sure need some help with party favors to set out. I am a person that wants everything perfect. Thank you in advance.

These look awesome! I think I may make some for my neighbors.
My mom makes these, but scans the paper she wants to use, then prints it onto address labels. This way she can just stick them directly onto the candy.
